In the context of second language acquisition, foreign language enjoyment (FLE) is a relatively new concept. For that reason, none of the few research carried out in the field thus far has been focused on whether gender might be an important determinant of either a high or a low level of FLE. Thus, the purpose of the present paper was to examine the influence of FLE on learning English as a foreign language, as well as to investigate this relationship from the perspective of gender. This article examines secondary school student and teachers cooperation through learning mathematics. The aim of the study is to find out whether the teacher and student cooperation is a partnership. The partnership is viewed as a cooperation where involved work toward mutual goals. Secondary school student - teacher partnership is possible if the teacher trusts students and together with them chooses the learning objectives, the teaching aids and methods of learning. The main objective of the eCITY project is to design, develop and validate a pedagogical methodology, supported by an online, collaborative, city-development simulation engine (Simcity like) that stimulates the integration and continuous exploitation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in engineering and science schools but, at the same time, fostering the interest for these orientations in secondary school students. Resumen El propósito de este estudio fue investigar la posible influencia de la disposición hacia el pensamiento crítico, el nivel académico y el género (variables independientes) sobre el desempeño en resolución de problemas de estudiantes de secundaria (variable dependiente). Han participado 114 estudiantes de educación secundaria españoles, 55 chicos y 59 chicas, de 3º y 4º de ESO y de 1º de Bachillerato (9º, 10º y 11º grado, respectivamente). 21. gadsimts prasa, lai ikviens būtu komunikabls un pašpārliecināts. Prezentācijas ir labs līdzeklis, uz ko balstīties situācijās, kad skolēni nejūtas pašpārliecināti uzstājoties. Diplomdarba tēma ir prezentācijas lai attīstītu vidusskolu audzēkņu publiskās uzstāšanās prasmes. Teorētiskā daļā ir aprakstīti vidusskolas skolēni 21. gadsimta skolā, viņu uzstāšanās prasmes, uzstāšanās prasmju attīstība prezentāciju laikā un prezentāciju daudzveidība. Mūsdienu pasauli raksturo tehnoloģiju straujā attīstība, kā arī angļu valodas kā lingua franca statusa nostiprināšanās. Diplomdarba mērķis ir atrast rīku, kas nodrošinātu jauniešiem nepieciešamās svešvalodas prasmes. Pētījumā tika ievākti dati no 203 anketām un piecām intervijām ar mērķi noskaidrot vidusskolas skolēnu valodas apguves ieradumus. Pētījums atklāja, ka vidusskolas skolēni savā ikdienā plaši pielieto tehnoloģijas un ir atvērti tehnoloģijās balstītai svešvalodas apguvei.
